Black voter turnout
Black voter turnout (59.6%) was down 3% in 2024.
Turnout was down 6.1% in 476 precincts of the six swing states with a 85% black population.
Latino voter turnout
Latino voter turnout (50.6%) was down 3.1% in 2024.
Turnout dropped 11% in the most Hispanic precincts in the six swing states.
Voting problems
It is estimated that close to 90 million Americans, roughly 36% of the eligible voting age population, did not vote in the 2024 presidential election.
A combination of voter suppression, lack of voter education, ineffective voter engagement, failed community investment, poor messaging and disinformation contributed to these numbers.
