Change for the People works to increase voter participation with underrepresented groups across the country. Our mission is to organize, educate and empower the most marginalized communities to become more politically active.

Low Income voter turnout

Only 48% of voters with an income below $25,000 cast a ballot in the 2024 presidential election.

 

Low income residents make up 14% of the voting electorate.

LGBTQ+ voter turnout

By 2030, LGBTQ+ Americans are projected to make up about one-in-seven (14.3%) of the voting electorate.

Around 27% of Gen Z and 15.6% of millennials identify themselves as LGBTQ+. 

Black voter turnout 

Black voter turnout (59.6%) was down 3% in 2024.

 

Turnout was down 6.1% in 476 precincts of the six swing states with a 85% black population.

Hispanic voter turnout

Hispanic voter turnout (50.6%) was down 3.1% in 2024.

 

Turnout dropped 11% in the most Hispanic precincts in the six swing states.
